A rather interesting tip that has come from the March issue of Trail Magazine.
Frozen hose woes
“It’s obvious when you think about it. When mercury drops into the minus, the water in your hydration bladder can freeze – and the first part to set solid will be the exposed hose that hangs out of your pack. Get round this by investing in insulation for your tube, by blowing the water back into the bladder after you’ve had a drink, or by adding energy powder to your water to lower its freezing point.”
A great one for anyone that loves to hit the odd snow capped munro! 😉
